When this mod was originally released under the name of 'Mod Completo' (or 'complete'), there were a few cards which couldn't be obtained. The Results of Duel screen in this game has red text if you win. Those unconfirmed ones however, are the rarest ones to acquire the chances of doing so equal a 1/2048. Instead, he will give out cards related to the sogen field (specifically 'warrior' and 'beast-warrior' types). For instance, Meadow Mage doesn't give out all those strong cards that he never used in his deck, including the coveted Meteor B. Moreover, the drops of opponents have changed, especially the field mages. In this game, the decks of opponents have been altered, making the game even more difficult than before. It is also known as the Final Mod and the Reaper Mod. The second mod released is referred to as the Mod Final. In this update, all cards were obtainable, linking back to the original purpose of these mods.

The developers of this mod released a second version of the game, titled 'Mod Beta Update 2 (or 'Mod Beta Up2' for short). Bare in mind that when the Mod Beta was originally released, there were a few cards which could still not be obtained.
To show the difference in-game between this and the original game, the 'Results of Duel' screen was altered to have a pitch black background, rather then having the play field spin around endlessly until you exited the duel. So what exactly is the purpose of these 'mods' then?īasically, the mods were created to let players have the chance to collect all cards. Konami didn't alter the game internationally to make up for the lack of PocketStation either.
Due to the fact that Sony didn't release the PocketStation worldwide, the game was left in a state where it couldn't be finished 100% (upon the assumption that all cards were able to appear in the library or chest). Additionally, you were able to receive cards in the form of a lottery. For this game, it would allow you to fuse 3 or 4 cards together to make one single card, including unconfirmed cards. This device would not only serve as a memory card, but it would function as a handheld device (similar to the likes of a Dreamcast VMU). You see, there was a PlayStation accessory in Japan called the PocketStation. These cards are generally referred to as the 'unconfirmed cards', even though they are definitely confirmed to be unobtainable. Some of them can be redeemed with starchips, but for the rest including the aforementioned, they cost a ridiculous 999,999. Some of these include: Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon, Gate Guardian, Perfectly Ultimate Great Moth, both Exodia legs and many more.
Unfortunately, there are 82 cards which cannot, and I mean CANNOT, be won in a duel. What are you talking about? Can't you get all of these cards in the original game? This is to allow the ability for the player to unlock all 722 cards in the game. The mods of Forbidden Memories vary, as there are a few to talk about, but they all share one same purpose. What is the Yu-Gi-Oh! Forbidden Memories mod? Another reason for this is because I feel that it would get more exposure on the forum as it is the active place of the site.
